Event Navigation

Simon is an HIV positive treatment advocate with HIV i-Base which he co-founded in 2000.
He was lucky to be one of the people who was just caught by HIV treatment, starting in 1996 with a CD4 count in single figures. He joined a small group of HIV positive people to tun a new treatment-focussed organisation called ATP, and for the next few years increasingly focussed on learning about HIV treatment.
He believes that HIV positive people should have the choice to be actively involved and represented at all levels of our care. He manages the i-Base Q&A service and edits a technical publication called HIV Treatment Bulletin and a set of non-technical resources for HIV positive people – all available online.
He has also become involved with HIV research groups including the START, PARTNER and PROUD studies.
